Terms of Service
Effective September 4, 2026. By creating an account or using Divorce Confessions, you agree to these terms. Divorce Confessions is offered in the United States and is operated by Obsidian Marketing Ltd.
What this product is — and isn't
Divorce Confessions is a self-guided journaling and general wellness product. It is not therapy, counseling, medical care, psychiatric care, legal advice, financial advice, or crisis support, and it is not a substitute for any professional service. Prompts, quotes, mood charts and milestones are reflective tools, not diagnosis, treatment or professional recommendation.
Divorce Confessions is not monitored and is not a crisis service. If you are in immediate danger or crisis, contact your local emergency number (911 in the US) or call or text 988, the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
Who can use it
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract. Divorce Confessions is offered in the United States and is not intended for, or directed at, minors.
Your account
You are responsible for the accuracy of your account details, for keeping your password confidential, and for activity that happens under your account. One account is for one person; don't share access. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
Your own decisions
What you write is yours, and so are the conclusions you draw from it. You remain solely responsible for any decision or action you take based on your entries, mood history, pattern charts, prompts or quotes — including decisions about your relationship, co-parenting, legal matters, finances or health. Consult qualified professionals for those.
Acceptable use
- Don't use the service for anything unlawful or to harm others.
- Don't attempt to access another person's account or data, probe or bypass access controls, or disrupt the service.
- Don't scrape, resell, or redistribute the service or its content.
- Don't upload malicious code or automate abusive traffic.
Ownership of content
Your writing is yours. You keep ownership of your journal entries, mood ratings and emotion tags. You grant us only the limited permission needed to store, process, back up and display that content back to you so the service can function. We do not claim ownership of it, we do not sell it, and we do not publish it.
Ours stays ours. The Divorce Confessions name, logo and branding, the app's design and code, and the original content we wrote — including the journaling prompts, the curated quotes and the milestone and pattern features — belong to Obsidian Marketing Ltd or its licensors. You may use them only as part of ordinary personal use of the product. You may not copy, republish, resell or build a competing product from them, and you may not use our name or branding to imply endorsement.
Free entry and subscriptions
New accounts can save one free entry so you can see how the product works. Continued journaling requires a subscription: $9.99 per month or $79.99 per year, charged in US dollars. Both plans renew automatically — monthly or every twelve months — until you cancel. Payments are handled by Stripe, and your subscription is tied to the account you signed in with. Prices and plan details are shown on the Plans page and cancellation, failed payments and refunds are covered in the Refund & Cancellation Policy. We may change prices for future billing periods with reasonable notice.
You can cancel at any time through the Stripe billing portal, reachable from your account page. Cancelling stops the next renewal and your access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for. If a renewal payment fails, we may mark the subscription past due and access ends at the end of the paid period unless payment succeeds.
When a promo code grants free Premium access, it lasts for the stated period, requires no payment card, and does not automatically become a paid subscription. When it expires, the account returns to its normal limits unless you choose to subscribe. Other types of promotional codes, if offered, are governed by their stated terms.
Termination
You can stop using the service at any time and delete your account from your account page. Deleting your account removes your entries, profile and plan record, and cannot be undone — export a copy first if you want one.
Deleting your account does not by itself cancel an active paid subscription with Stripe. If you are on a paid plan, cancel it through the billing portal first, or contact support so we can confirm it has been cancelled; otherwise renewal charges could continue.
We may suspend or end access if these terms are breached, if required by law, or if we discontinue the service. Where we discontinue the service, we'll aim to give reasonable notice so you can export your entries.
Service availability and disclaimer
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. We don't promise uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or that the service will produce any particular outcome for you. Please keep your own exported copy of anything you can't afford to lose.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Divorce Confessions and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost profits or emotional distress arising from use of the service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Resolving problems & governing law
If something goes wrong, please contact us first at obsidianmarketingltd@gmail.com so we can try to resolve it informally. Contacting us does not prevent you from pursuing any rights or remedies available under applicable law.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Divorce Confessions is operated from and offered in the United States. Nothing in these terms limits any non-waivable consumer rights or other protections you have under applicable law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; the date above will change and continued use means you accept the updated version. Questions: obsidianmarketingltd@gmail.com.
